The double room we stayed in were air-conditioned with really high ceiling. The location turned out to be good, next to the excellent wineries in the Hunter valley instead of accommodation.

The staff were fantastic, always friendly and attentive. the rooms were spacious, clean, and had a cozy charm to them. the location was perfect, just a short drive away from the beautiful wine country. Plus, the self-serve breakfast was a great way to start the day.
There was a bit of traffic noise in the morning, but that's expected in a central location. the shared bathroom situation was a bit inconvenient, but they were reasonably clean and accessible.

The room at Hotel Cessnock was totally cozy and inviting. The TV was a great addition, and the air conditioning made it so comfy. I really liked how clean and renovated the room felt, and the shared bathroom facilities were always available when I needed them.
Honestly, I wasn't a huge fan of the shared bathroom situation. It's just a personal preference, though.

We stayed at this charming hotel for three nights while celebrating three family birthdays. The proprietor and staff were friendly and accommodating, allowing us to party late into the night without any issues. The bistro served excellent food, and the kitchen was well-equipped and stocked with food and beverages. Despite the rainy weather, the clean and modern decor made our stay enjoyable, and the historic features of the building added to its charm. The accommodation was clean and comfortable, and the manager was understanding and accommodating when we had a late check-in due to a wedding. a great experience and we would definitely come back.
100% Recommend this hotel.
